Syncables is Busy at Computex 2011 — And at Home!
Hey, all…………..hope you’ve made the happy transition from the cold, blustery winds of winter to the soft, warm breezes of almost summer! Or from the scorching summer temperatures to the cooling breezes of almost fall, depending on where you are in the world of our readers. Like most of you probably, we’ve been a busy bunch here as we ready ourselves for a new consumer product launch.
Some of you may remember that at the 2011 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas this past January, Syncables launched to PC OEMs its LivePlay service, which effectively turns a computer into a personal cloud server that very easily allows anywhere access to your media and documents. So, with LivePlay, you can stream your media library, including iTunes playlists, to any web-enabled computer or mobile device — a desktop PC, notebook, netbook or tablet, etc.
Or from anywhere, easily access your home computer through your personal cloud to get that document you need immediately………just go to your online LivePlay account, see the contents of your computer and download what you need to the computer you are currently using. LivePlay’s remote streaming / access is done just that easily and without the costly, time-consuming effort of placing your content in cloud storage.
Right now, at Computex Taipei 2011, (BIG electronics show), the Syncables team is working with partners MSI (www.msi.com), ASUS (www.asus.com) and FIC (http://www.fic.com.tw/) to demo both LivePlay’s remote access and streaming features and our syncables 360 local and WiFi access and sync solution. In addition, Syncables has been demonstrating its local and remote access solutions to a range of other new partners in private meetings.
Now, that’s a busy bunch if I ever saw one! And a happy one! That’s a big league debut for brand new easy-to-use LivePlay and a great “show” for syncables 360, too!
Keep an eye out here for news about the consumer version of LivePlay due to launch very soon! In the meantime, here are some pics from the Computex show:

How to Be a Successful Affiliate Marketer
What is Affiliate Marketing?
Here at Syncables, we have had an affiliate program for the past few years, and, over this time, many people have had questions on how to be successful at affiliate marketing. There are so many avenues for affiliate marketers and many different opinions on how to be successful. So, I thought we would take a minute to bring our best practices together to give you a road map on how to choose a program and things you can do to make it more successful.
As defined by Wikipedia, affiliate marketing is a marketing practice in which a business rewards one or more affiliates for each visitor or customer brought about by the affiliate’s own marketing efforts. Most often, you will see the product manufacturers offering the program, but also you will see cart companies like Amazon offering affiliate programs as well. Either way, here are the steps to choosing your own affiliate program and building your presence.

Selecting an Affiliate Program
1. Try to choose an affiliate program that falls in your niche or area of expertise. If you are interested in software, trend setting or cutting edge products, then a program like Syncables would be appropriate to you. If you have a strong interest in vitamins, then look for a program where you can use your interest and expertise to help you the most.
2. Review companies based on the materials they provide for their affiliates. You want to make sure that you have appropriate creative support to get started right away. For example, we provide our affiliate marketers with banner ads, product imagery, text links, customer reviews and articles to help promote the product. We want you to have the tools you need to accurately and appropriately market our products, if you are selected to represent our brand. We also supply our affiliate marketers with industry and market research to help you select channels with the most target customers. If your affiliate program can provide research as well, then you will be able to better identify channels and customers to target making you more successful.
Building Your Affiliate Presence
1. Once you have decided on your product, your next step is to research, research and research. You should work to become an expert in your niche as well as the product features and benefits. Make sure there is a clear need for the product and not a surplus of affiliate marketers offering the same product. If you can find a company that offers research to its marketers like we do, then you will be in the best place to create a strong presence in the right channel.
2. Next, research keywords to build your campaign. You can use the Google tool to help create a list of relevant keywords. Add negative terms and phrases to your list. This will help in PPC and SEO later. Use a spreadsheet to record your full list of keywords.
3. Using your keyword list, build keyword-rich articles and blog posts that are informative on your product’s subject. Then, test each article using a keyword measurement tool like Textalyser to test for correct and robust SEO. Your goal is to use your target affiliate keywords in at least 3 to 5 percent for a high search engine ranking. A good affiliate marketer will write a library of articles and blog posts before your campaign starts so that you can release them consistently over time.
4. When you’re ready to begin your campaign, first look for relevant content sites that allow user-submitted articles and begin submitting keyword-rich articles. Many sites will pay for your article submissions. At Syncables, we provide our affiliate marketers with a list of sites to begin your search.
5. Next, create a free blog with a company like Blogger or WordPress, and brand it for your affiliate product. You can use it to supplement your domain or serve as your domain. Either way, consistently post keyword-rich content for Google to view it as relevant and current.
6. Then, let Google know that it is a robust site by linking your website, blog and articles together. This will help your quality score increase so that your search ranking rises as a result.
Important Rule:
Do not steal or plagiarize content or articles from other websites or affiliate marketers. This type of action with most companies, Syncables included, will result in removal of your affiliate rights.
